Custom Modular Cleanroom Systems: Engineered and fabricated to ISO 5 through ISO 8 standards with integrated HEPA filtration, fan filter units (FFUs), hardwall and softwall panels, and strict environmental control.
Built in-house: AEL is fully vertically integrated. Control panels, container retrofits, plumbing, electrical, fire suppression and HVAC installation, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and powder coating are all done by our own team. See our in-house capabilities.
Three configurations. One standard.

Hardwall
Insulated panels, full pressure control, temperature & humidity management.
- ISO 5–8

Softwall
Aluminum frame with vinyl panels. Rapid assembly, cost-effective.
- ISO 6–8

Drop-Ceiling
Suspended HEPA grid. Converts existing space without full walls.
- ISO 6–8

What is a modular cleanroom and how does it differ from stick-built construction?
A modular cleanroom is a controlled environment assembled from prefabricated wall panels, ceiling systems, and filtration components. Compared with conventional construction, a modular approach can move more work off site and support future reconfiguration; schedule and reuse depend on the selected system and facility conditions.
What ISO classification targets can AEL cleanrooms support?
AEL can design cleanroom systems around ISO 5 through ISO 8 particle-count targets. Final classification depends on the complete room, process, filtration density, airflow, pressurization, commissioning, operating procedures, and documented testing.
How long does cleanroom installation take?
Engineering, fabrication, installation, and commissioning schedules are quoted by project based on room size, system type, site access, utilities, environmental targets, approvals, and testing requirements.
What industries require cleanroom environments?
Pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, medical device assembly, biotechnology, aerospace, food processing, industrial processing, compounding pharmacies, defense electronics, and precision optics. Any process sensitive to airborne particulates or microbial contamination benefits from controlled environments.
Can a modular cleanroom be expanded or relocated?
Yes. Modular panel systems are designed for reconfiguration. Walls can be removed and reinstalled to expand floor area or create new zones. Entire cleanrooms can be disassembled and relocated with minimal component loss.
What is included in a turnkey cleanroom from AEL?
Structural framing, insulated wall panels, ceiling grid, HEPA/ULPA fan filter units, LED lighting, sealed doors, pass-through chambers, gowning room provisions, HVAC integration, electrical distribution, environmental monitoring, and commissioning with particle count verification.
